In a significant diplomatic gathering, Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khureiji attended the third meeting of the Joint Tripartite Committee in Tehran on Tuesday. The meeting saw Saudi Arabia, Iran, and China reaffirming their commitment to the Beijing Agreement, marking a significant step in regional diplomacy.
Commitment to Beijing Agreement
The Saudi and Iranian sides affirmed their commitment to implementing the Beijing Agreement in its entirety, ensuring regional stability. They also expressed their continued pursuit of strengthening good neighborly relations between their countries through adherence to international principles.
This is through adherence to the Charter of the United Nations, the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and international law, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
China’s Role
Saudi Arabia and Iran welcomed China’s continued positive role and support in implementing the Beijing Agreement, highlighting its importance. Meanwhile, China affirmed its readiness to continue supporting and encouraging the steps taken by Saudi Arabia and Iran toward developing their relations in various fields.
The three countries welcomed the ongoing progress in Saudi-Iranian relations and the opportunities it provides at all levels. They called for an immediate end to Israeli aggressions in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, emphasizing the need for peace.
They also strongly condemned any acts of aggression against the territorial integrity of Iran, upholding sovereignty.
