Saudi Arabia Explores Collaboration with India’s TATA Group

The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, has explored avenues of cooperation with TATA Group, during his visit to India.

On Wednesday, Al-Khorayef visited TATA Group‘s headquarters in Mumbai, and met with the leaders of the group’s affiliates: TATA Defense, TATA electronics limited, and TATA steel Limited, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During the meeting, they explored ways to strengthen their cooperation in aerospace, defense, steel and electronics industries.

Moreover, the Saudi Industry Minister highlighted the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in the industry and mining sectors, and the Vision’s role in shaping the future of the Saudi economy and diversifying its revenues.

Al-Khorayef also showcased the key investment opportunities in 12 promising industrial sectors targeted by the National Industrial Strategy, including aerospace, military and defense industries, and electronics.

Furthermore, the Saudi Industry Minister pointed to the progress of the Kingdom’s mining sector, in line with efforts to maximize its contribution to diversifying the national economy.

On his part, the CEO of TATA Defense showcased the company’s products, including military aircraft and vehicles, highlighting the company’s expertise in designing, building and operating military factories.

Meanwhile, the CEO of TATA Steel Limited delivered a presentation showcasing the company’s exports in the construction, automotive, and supply chain sectors across various international markets.

The meeting also explored ways to bolster collaboration between TATA electronics limited, a company specialized in chips and semiconductors manufacturing, and the Saudi National Industrial Development Center (NIDC) to produce chips and semiconductors in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Khorayef is leading a high-level delegation from the Industry Ministry and the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority during a visit to India from February 3-6, 2025. The visit aims to boost industrial collaboration with India and attract high-value investments.
