Saudi Arabia Expands its Cooperation with the Congo in Various Fields
The Minister of State for African Countries’ Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, signed a cooperation agreement with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Marie Tumba.
The agreement aims to develop the Kingdom’s foreign relations with the governments of countries and peoples of the world. It also strengthens the existing bonds of friendship with those countries and to provide support for historical ties and common interests.
The terms of the agreement include encouraging cooperation between the two countries in the economic, commercial, investment, educational, artistic, cultural, media, tourism, youth and sports fields. It also opens the horizons for concluding specialized I bilateral agreements in areas of interest to the two countries.
The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, President Felix Tshisekedi, also received, at the presidential residence, Ahmed Kattan, Minister of State for African Countries Affairs.
During the reception, Minister Kattan conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to the Minister, while Tshisekedi conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, and his good wishes for the people of the Kingdom of further prosperity and prosperity.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance them in various fields, in addition to discussing developments in regional and international issues of common interest.
