Saudi Arabia establishes Supreme Judicial Council headed by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
The Saudi Council of Ministers, during a session chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday, at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, approved the establishment of a council called the “Supreme Space Council” headed by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince, HRH Muhammad bin Salman, and the amendment of the name of the Communications and Information Technology Commission. To be the “Communications, Space and Technology Commission”, according to the SPA news agency.
At the beginning of the session, the Council reviewed the talks and meetings between the Kingdom and several countries during the past few days. These talks and meetings were to develop relations and push the fields of cooperation to broader horizons. In a manner that serves common interests and enhances coordination toward international challenges.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet for Shura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Information, Issam bin Saad bin Saeed, said in a statement after the session that the Saudi Cabinet noted the Crown Prince’s announcement that the Public Investment Fund (PIF) established five regional companies aimed at investing in Jordan, Bahrain, and Sudan. Iraq, and Oman, with a value of up to 90 billion riyals.
This contributes to building long-term strategic economic partnerships, maximizing the fund’s assets, and diversifying the Kingdom’s sources of income, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030, according to the SPA news agency.
The Council also praised the achievements of the Future Investment Initiative in its sixth edition. This initiative had an international presence that contributed to the formation of many ideas and solutions to the challenges facing the world during that period, as well as what it witnessed in the signing of agreements and understandings, it also witnessed marked the regional and international initiatives in support of the investment sector.
