Saudi Arabia has launched smart robot service in the Central Area in Madinah to assist pilgrims who visit the Prophet’s Mosque during Hajj 2024, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Ministry of Health branch in Madinah has positioned the robots at the courtyard to spread awareness, educational messages, and health advice in more than 96 languages to promote the pilgrims’ journeys in the Holy sites.
Furthermore, the courtyard next to the Prophet’s Mosque is full of teams and awareness groups with 220 male and female volunteers from the City Health Branch.
More than 12 teams are currently working 24/7 to provide health and emergency services during the Hajj season at the Prophet’s Mosque, Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Al-Haramain Train Station, Quba Mosque, Al-Khandaf, Sayyid Al-Shuhada, and Miqat Dhu Al-Hulaifah.
The Kingdom has successfully integrated religious digital services, widely invested in technology and artificial intelligence, and professionally promoted applications and digital media.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has collaborated with the Saudi National Bank (SNB AlAhli) to launch the world’s first international digital wallet ‘Nusuk Wallet’ to enable pilgrims to manage their money and expenses through a banking infrastructure supported by SNB AlAhli.
Moreover, the Kingdom offers a special system using GPS and interactive digital maps to help pilgrims move around the holy sites.
The digital interactive map shows directions to all the facilities provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. They include doors, the library, restrooms, guidance offices, and the service of providing manual and electric carts, escalators, elevators, field hospitals, bridges, and maintenance and work areas.
