Saudi Arabia, Austria discuss cooperation opportunities in Energy & Digital Investment

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, met with Margrethe Schrambück, Austria’s Minister of Digital and Economic Affairs, in Riyadh today.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Energy’s official Twitter account, the two parties discussed prospects for cooperation in a variety of energy disciplines, including renewable energy and hydrogen.

Meanwhile, Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, met with Margaret Schrambock, Minister of Economy and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Austria on Tuesday intending to discuss ways to expand the bilateral collaboration in the digital economy between the two countries.

Both parties agreed to support digital investment and processes to take advantage of the investment opportunities accessible to technology businesses.

Moreover, Margaret Schrambück inaugurated on Tuesday the Saudi-Austrian Investment Forum’s activity was opened in Riyadh in the presence of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, and the Republic of Austria’s Minister of Digitization and Economic Affairs,

The purpose of the forum is to improve aspects of partnership and cooperation between the two nations in the areas of investment and commerce, as well as to showcase the Kingdom’s business environment reforms.
