Saudi Arabia Announces $600 Million Development Projects in Yemen
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced a package of vital development projects implemented by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, which included 17 development projects in 6 sectors: energy, transportation, education, water, health, and building state institutions, with a value of $400 million. In addition to $200 million to provide oil derivatives to operate power stations to meet the priority needs of the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering.
This came during the reception of the President of the Presidential Command Council of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, at his residence during his private visit to the Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen, and the efforts of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council in unifying and bringing together the Yemeni components with the aim of reaching a comprehensive political solution.
The Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense affirmed the Kingdom’s support for the Presidential Command Council of the Republic of Yemen, and its blessing for the council’s positive initiatives with the international community to bring security, peace and stability to Yemen, end the Yemeni crisis, and reach a comprehensive political solution that will move Yemen to peace and development.
