Saudi-American Business Council, Min. of Investment Highlight Opportunities in Houston

The Saudi-US Business Council, in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Investment, organized a panel discussion in Houston, Texas. The discussion aimed at enhancing cooperation between leading American companies and Saudi Arabia’s thriving industrial sector.
The event was attended by 25 senior representatives from American companies, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Investment’s Washington office and the Ministry’s Machinery and Equipment sector.

Abdullah Al-Khudeir, Assistant Director of the Americas Office at the Ministry of Investment, opened the session with an overview of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the significant transformation within its promising investment environment. He also emphasized the Ministry’s pivotal role in facilitating the flow of foreign investments into the Kingdom.
Ma’an Al-Khamis, Business Development Manager at the Ministry, also highlighted the competitive advantages of the machinery and equipment sector, pointing to financial incentives, advanced infrastructure, and the substantial opportunities offered by the Kingdom’s growing market.

In his remarks, Charles Hallaab, CEO of the Saudi-American Business Council, emphasized the importance of this event, stating: “This session reflects the council’s commitment to strengthening ties between American companies and the Saudi industrial sector. Such gatherings showcase the immense potential offered by Vision 2030 and highlight a strong alignment between American innovation and Saudi economic ambitions. Moreover, we believe these discussions pave the way for fruitful and sustainable collaboration.”
Manufacturing Facilities in Kingdom
The session, moderated by David Callahan, Senior Vice President of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council, included discussions on vital topics such as the requirements for establishing manufacturing facilities in the Kingdom, visa-related facilitations, and avenues for future collaboration between the two sides.

After addressing questions from the audience representing American companies, the session was concluded by Eng. Omar Al-Tuwaijri, Director of the Machinery and Equipment Sector at the Ministry of Investment. Additionally, he expressed optimism about the future of partnerships between the two sides, stating: “Our visit to the United States has yielded promising opportunities, and the discussion session in Houston was one of its key highlights. We are committed to continuing our collaboration with American companies and exploring new horizons for growth and development in Saudi Arabia’s manufacturing sector.”
