“SAMI” signs cooperation agreement with Bahri to enhance military industries

In furtherance of the Kingdom’s strategy in developing the military industries and logistics sectors, the Saudi Military Industries Company “SAMI”, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, has signed a logistic services agreement with Bahri, the world leader in the field of transportation and logistics.

The agreement stipulates that Bahri provides wide-ranging logistical services inside and outside the Kingdom, including sea, air, and land transportation, in addition to shipping services for the benefit of various business units and subsidiaries of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries Company.

The deal was signed by Eng. Walid bin Abdul Majeed Abu Khaled, CEO of Saudi Military Industries, and Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Dubaikhi, CEO of the Bahri Company.

Moreover, it entails providing integrated logistics services and door-to-door shipping to the Saudi Arabian Military Industries Company and its subsidiaries to simplify the implementation of projects and programs, as well as assisting in the localization of military logistics services.

The logistical services offered by Bahri will be used by SAMI’s five business divisions and subsidiaries, which include Advanced Electronics Company, Aircraft Complementary Equipment Company Limited, Sami Navantia Marine Industries, Sami L3 Harris Technologies, and Sami CMI Defense Systems.

Although the deal now covers the Saudi market, the two firms are aiming to expand it in the future to encompass the worldwide defense and logistics industry.
