Cruise Saudi has unveiled the soft launch of Saba Beach on Jabal AlSabaya to boost Saudi Arabia’s position as a prestigious destination for cruising, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Saba Beach aims primarily to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a pioneering global destination for cruise ships.
Located approximately 220 nautical miles away from Jeddah, Jabal AlSabaya seeks to be an exclusive destination for receiving cruise ships on the Red Sea.
Crucially, the private island offers a special blend between the local culture and beauty of nature.
“This exclusive island experience will offer an unparalleled blend of luxury, authentic Saudi culture, and the breathtaking natural beauty of the Red Sea coastline,” the release said.
Furthermore, the company explained that the design was inspired by the Saudi heritage with a special focus on considering sustainability practices. Through the use of local materials and innovative techniques, the project ensured a minimal environmental impact.
Upon the completion of the first stage, Saba Beach will provide visitors with seamless opportunities through various facilities and services.
It is worth mentioning that Saba Beach welcomed the first cruise passengers in December 2024, as part of a soft launch that offered guests an exclusive first experience on the private island.
