Riyadh Season to Host “Latin Night” on November 16th

His Excellency Turki  Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced that Riyadh Season 2024 will host the “Latin Night” on November 16 at “THE VENUE,” one of the new areas introduced for Riyadh Season 2024.

Al-Sheikh expressed his anticipation for organizing the first event of the season as part of the partnership with Golden Boy Promotions through the “Latin Night.” It also features the best Latin boxers. He affirmed “Riyadh Season’s” ongoing commitment to presenting exceptional boxing matches that meet the expectations of audiences worldwide.

Al-Sheikh confirmed that “Latin Night” will be broadcast for free worldwide, indicating that additional details about the platforms for watching the fight will be announced soon.

Golden Boy Promotions

This event is a partnership between “Riyadh Season” and “Golden Boy Promotions,” owned by six-weight world champion Oscar De La Hoya. Moreover, the “Latin Night” will feature a historic bout between WBA Cruiserweight World Champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, with 46 wins (30 by knockout), and WBO Cruiserweight World Champion Chris Billam-Smith, with 20 wins (13 by knockout) and three consecutive title defenses.

Ramirez made history as the first Mexican world champion in the Super Middleweight and Cruiserweight divisions and aims to dominate the Cruiserweight category. English boxer Chris Billam-Smith has held the WBO Cruiserweight title since 2023 and previously held the European, British, and Commonwealth Cruiserweight titles from 2019 to 2022.

American Olympic champion

A group of top international boxing champions will compete in these highly anticipated bouts. Former American Olympic champion Jose Ramirez (29 wins, 18 by knockout) will face undefeated Arnold Barboza Jr., the WBO’s top contender (30 wins, 11 by knockout), in a 12-round WBO Super-Lightweight title eliminator. The event will also feature William “El Camaron” Zepeda (31 wins, 27 by knockout) against former IBF world champion Tevin Farmer (33 wins, 8 by knockout) in a 10-round lightweight bout.
