Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) unveiled the details for the fifth edition of Riyadh Season 2024 on Wednesday. It is scheduled to start on October 12
GEA Chairman Turki Alalshikh announced that the upcoming season will showcase 14 entertainment zones, 11 international championships, and 10 festivals and exhibitions. He further revealed that the fifth edition of Riyadh Season will cover 7.2 million square meters. Additionally, it will involve 4,200 contracts with 2,100 companies. Notably, around 95 percent of the participating companies will be local.
The Venue
Alalshikh also introduced a new area called “The Venue,” covering 9,425 square meters and with a capacity for around 8,000 people. The Venue will host seven events.
He also highlighted that this year’s Riyadh Season will feature the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup, a key event of the season. He pointed out that 70 percent of the season’s activities will be held in the Boulevard City zone.
In its fifth edition, the event will introduce a new area named “Boulevard Runway,” created in collaboration with Saudi Airlines. Moreover, this area will repurpose old, unused airplane models and will be divided into three zones, accommodating up to 9,000 people across 140,000 square meters.
The GEA also revealed its efforts against the black market for tickets in collaboration with authorities. A special team within the “We Book” app has analyzed over 3 million transactions, resulting in 13,000 tickets and 5,000 suspicious accounts being blocked.
We Book Platform
Alalshikh urged visitors to buy their Riyadh Season tickets only through the official “We Book” app. He also stressed that the GEA will not tolerate purchases made through black market platforms.
The GEA has unveiled new features aimed at enhancing the user experience for this year’s Riyadh Season. Additionally, these updates include new subscription packages offering comprehensive experiences through the “We Book” platform, an all-inclusive online store. It upgrades to the ticket purchasing process.
The GEA recently revealed its biggest announcement: new packages including the Riyadh Season Package, Silver Package, Black Package, and Diamond Package.
Finally, Riyadh Season is a major entertainment event designed to position Riyadh as a top global destination. It offers a variety of events and attractions for those seeking unique entertainment experiences.
