Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Joins Abu Dhabi Exhibition to Promote Heritage

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority announced its participation in the twenty-first session of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition. It will be held from August 31 to September 8, 2024.

This participation aims to promote eco-tourism and highlight Saudi cultural heritage. It reflects the Authority’s commitment to achieving its ambitious vision of transforming the reserve into a global eco-tourism destination.

The authority will review its success story in restoring environmental balance and preserving natural diversity. Additionally, the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve presented a unique model in protecting local wildlife and plants and supporting the local community.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to go through an immersive interactive experience, taking them on a journey deep into the Kingdom’s cultural heritage, while highlighting the heritage arts and traditional crafts that reflect the authenticity of the local community.

The authority’s pavilion will also include its pioneering tourism programs, including the Al-Shamal Sustainable Hunting Reserve. It is the first reserve of its kind in the Kingdom, in addition to Al-Haski caravans. It offers a unique tourist experience in the embrace of picturesque nature. Other activities will include camping and exceptional experiences such as: stargazing in the dark sky area.

It is noteworthy that the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve is the second largest royal reserve with an area of ​​91,500 square kilometers. It includes more than 138 species of fungal organisms and more than 179 plant species. Furthermore, the reserve is distinguished by its picturesque nature, unique environmental and biological diversity. It embraces several heritage landmarks and archaeological and historical sites.
