The Qatari-Saudi Follow-up Committee held its fourth meeting to discuss developments in implementing the reconciliation clauses agreed upon by the two countries at the Al-Ula Summit.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry website stated that the Qatari-Saudi Follow-up Committee held its fourth meeting today at the General Court of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry added that the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs, Ali bin Fahd Al-Hajri, presided over the meeting from Doha. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political and Economic Affairs, Eid bin Muhammad Al-Thaqafi, played the same role on the Saudi side.
The ministry indicated that this meeting comes in implementing the will of the Saudi and Qatari leadership within the framework of the Al-Ula statement, pointing out that this strengthens the fraternal relations between Riyadh and the Dukha.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ola’s statement had laid the foundations for Gulf reconciliation between Qatar on the one hand and Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt on the other.
