Palestinian President: United States Back Israeli Aggression in Gaza

During the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the destructive war on the Palestinian people in Gaza must be put to an end and that the Palestinian people must be able to establish their state on the 1967 borders.

He added that the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip is backed politically and militarily by the United States of America, reported BBC News.

The president said that more than 70% of Gaza’s residential buildings were destroyed under American cover, stressing that it is time for the United States to end its double standards.

Abbas criticized the United States’ use of the veto 4 times, including 3 times to prevent a ceasefire in Gaza and one against the establishment of a Palestinian state.

He called on the participating countries and the United States to pressure Israel to release Palestinian Authority’s Money.

The 33rd Arab Summit kicked off in the Bahraini capital, Manama, today, Thursday, in the midst of the complicated situation in the region, overshadowed by the ongoing war in Gaza.
