Palestinian Ambassador Affirms KSA Pro-Palestine Stance

Palestinian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bassem Al-Agha, reports the embassy’s efforts to assist the return of Palestinians stranded in Gaza. These efforts focus on those with Saudi residency, coordinating with the Embassy of Palestine in Egypt for their return.

Saudi Arabia’s Stance in International Arenas

Al-Agha emphasizes Saudi Arabia’s significant role in international forums concerning Palestine. He notes Saudi Arabia’s unique regional and international position, particularly regarding the Gaza issue, and its support for Palestine in halting Israeli aggression.

Unity Between Saudi Arabia and Palestine

Al-Agha highlights Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s assurance to Palestinian President that KSA will support Palestine until it becomes an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Ambassador underscores Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan’s diplomatic actions. These reflect what has been agreed upon during the Arab and Islamic summits.

Gaza and the “Egor Island” Plan

Al-Agha said that what is happening in Gaza is a plan to relocate Gaza’s population to Sinai, part of the “Egor Island” project. This aims to end the Palestinian issue and create tension between Palestine and Egypt. He adds that the U.S. and occupying forces plan to arm both sides, similar to South Sudan’s situation.

Resistance to the Plan

Al-Agha states that despite support from successive U.S. administrations and some Europeans, the project hasn’t succeeded due to Arab opposition. The Palestinian Liberation Organization remains firmly against resettlement and the concept of an alternative homeland.
