Relief Trucks Halted at Open Crossing by Israeli Bombing

An Egyptian security source informed that the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip is open. However, no relief trucks crossed from the Egyptian side due to renewed Israeli bombing in Gaza.

Dual Nationals, Impact of Renewed Israeli Bombing in Gaza

An anonymous source disclosed that about 55 dual nationals were scheduled to enter Egypt today via the Rafah Crossing. However, their arrival has been notably delayed.

The reason for this disruption is the renewed Israeli bombing in Rafah city, which has significantly hindered the delivery of aid and the evacuation process of injured individuals or foreigners from the Gaza Strip.

This situation reflects the broader impact of the conflict on civilians, including those with dual nationalities seeking safe passage amidst the chaos.

Egyptian Red Crescent’s Efforts in Gaza

In response to the escalating situation, Khaled Zayed, the head of the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai, took proactive measures. He informed AWP that the organization had dispatched approximately 200 new aid trucks towards Rafah, with the intention of entering the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, these trucks, loaded with essential supplies, are a crucial part of the humanitarian response to the crisis in Gaza.

However, they were unable to enter the area due to Israel’s ongoing and renewed bombing. This blockade has created a significant obstacle in providing much-needed relief and assistance to the affected populations in Gaza.

Furthermore, the Egyptian Red Crescent has prepared ambulances, which are currently stationed at and around the Rafah Crossing.

The medical vehicles intend to move injured Palestinians from Gaza to Egyptian hospitals. This state of readiness highlights the organization’s dedication to providing prompt care. It also emphasizes the vital role of humanitarian groups in crises.
