OPEC Plus announced the postponement of its 57th meeting scheduled for next Sunday to December 5th, due to the meeting’s coincidence with the Gulf Summit to be held in Kuwait.
The organization clarified that the meeting aims to determine the next steps for the oil production strategy, where the decision to postpone the planned production increases starting in January 2024 will be discussed.

The meeting will be crucial in setting the production policy for the early months of 2025, with the possibility of adjusting plans related to production cuts.
OPEC+ had previously announced that it would gradually reduce production cuts through small increases over several months in 2024 and 2025.
The upcoming meeting in December is expected to be decisive in shaping the global oil policy, especially in light of its impact on oil markets and energy prices.
