OIC condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settlers
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the storming of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
Israeli occupation forces-imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers, assaulted them, and arrested dozens of them.
The organization considered this dangerous escalation an attack on the sanctity of holy places and freedom of worship, and a flagrant violation of human rights charters and the Geneva Conventions.
The organization condemned the attack on the relevant United Nations resolutions, reiterating that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in its entirety is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims.
The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation called on the international community to take serious action to put an end to these repeated Israeli violations
It called for obligating “Israel” to respect the sanctity of the holy places and to preserve the legal and historical status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
