NEOM executives gather investors in New York next month
Executives in charge of the massive NEOM project have convened a meeting in New York next month to drum up worldwide interest in the $500 billion projects.
According to Bloomberg, NEOM CEO Nazmi Al-Nasr and chief financial officer Laith Al-Shaiban are expected to attend the event in early April.
According to one of the sources, invitations to the event have been extended to private equity firms, bankers, and construction suppliers to measure interest in the project.
According to another source, the event will be the first in a series of events in numerous American locations and will follow a similar event held in London last year.
According to Bloomberg, the invitation issued to the Wall Street titans said, “Explore and discuss the important market prospects that NEOM represents, and discuss how we can assist your business objectives through substantial partnership and investment options.”
Officials from NEOM also welcomed CEOs to learn more about the company’s unique concept for urban planning, which includes ideas for a car-free linear city, an overwater industrial zone, and a mountain ski resort with an artificial lake, all of which are powered by renewable energy.
Former executives from Buro Happold, General Electric, and Germany’s RWE have been employed by NEOM to relocate to the new location to plan for the new district’s economy and urban architecture.
