“Najran Technician Initiative” to Empower Women for Labor Market Concludes
Empowering Najran's Women through Vocational Training
The General Directorate for Technical and Vocational Training in the Najran region has ended. Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the Governor of Najran sponsored this program. He has successfully concluded the first phase of the “Najran Technician Initiative”. This initiative is supported by Road Flower Company. Najran Technician Initiative aims to equip women with skills for the labor market. It focuses on abaya design and flower arrangement fields. Spanning over five days of training, this program marks a significant step towards empowering local women.
Najran Technician Initiative Includes Abaya Design Program: Unleashing Creativity
The abaya design program focused on several key areas to ensure participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the craft. Moreover, the program taught trainees to acquire skills for an abaya project, including understanding fabric types, measurements, and design basics.
Najran Technician Initiative guided them in creating a logo and brand identity for their stores. Furthermore, the program included feasibility studies, marketing strategies, and practical workshops, providing a holistic approach to starting an abaya business.
Flower Arrangement Program: Blossoming Talent
Similarly, the flower arrangement program aimed to imbue trainees with the art of floral design. This included not just the technical skills of arranging flowers but also creating a store’s logo and identity, conducting feasibility studies, and learning marketing strategies for their business. This comprehensive training equips participants to confidently enter the market.
Najran Technician Initiative Aligns with Vision 2030
Additionally, Dr. Mohammed Al-Zahrani, the Director-General of the General Directorate for Technical and Vocational Training in Najran, expressed his gratitude to Prince Jalawi for his support and keen interest in the initiative. This project aims to create job opportunities for Saudi women in these sectors and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030‘s goals. By empowering women in all fields and linking them to the labor market, the initiative seeks to increase their income through entrepreneurship, keep pace with the fast-evolving business environment, and provide diverse job opportunities across various specialties.
