
Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail held a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov during the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, where they explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in economic and urban development.
Discussions focused on potential joint initiatives in urban planning, housing, and smart city management. Both sides also exchanged perspectives on sustainable development approaches aimed at improving urban efficiency and enhancing quality of life.

The minister also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s progress in transforming its cities and advancing sustainable urban environments through innovation and infrastructure development, in alignment with Vision 2030.
The meeting underscores the Kingdom’s active role in WUF13 and its commitment to contributing to the future of global urban development.
