SDAIA launches the Smart Cities Challenge competition to create the future of cities
The (Smartathon) challenge, under the title (Smart Cities Challenge), is still accepting applications until January 8, 2023.
This challenge was launched during the second edition of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence
This challenge is based on the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing,
SDAIA, the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, and the Riyadh Municipality are also participating.
The challenge, which will be held virtually, aims to develop modern solutions to improve the urban landscape in the cities of the Kingdom.
In addition to leveraging data and artificial intelligence to find solutions, the challenge looks for technical solutions that aid in identifying and minimizing visual distortion.
The challenge intends to elevate the Kingdom to leadership among data-based economies and to inspire and nurture skills and competencies in the sectors of smart cities, data, and artificial intelligence.
The challenge targets data scientists, practitioners of artificial intelligence techniques, and students around the world, with prizes totaling up to one million Saudi riyals.
