Mayadeen Theatre to Host Riyadh International Jazz Festival in Feb.
International Jazz Festival in Riyadh Next February
Riyadh International Jazz Festival is set to take place at the Mayadeen Theatre from February 7 to 9, as announced by the Music Authority.
The festival will be held over three days; live performances will be staged by artists who specialize in jazz arts and other musical styles with jazz influences.
Moreover, it will include a variety of Saudi, Arab, and worldwide performers.
Additionally, different regions will witness various activities. The Authority aims to establish an integrated artistic and cultural experience as part of its mission to propel national music towards success on a worldwide scale.
Details about Riyadh International Jazz Festival
International superstars who have redefined the genre boundaries of jazz music will lead the lineup. The Cat Empire, an Australian jazz-funk band that draws inspiration from funk, ska, alternative rock, Latin jazz salsa music, and other genres, will feature at the main stage.
Moreover, saxophonist and composer Yolanda Brown, a double MOBO Award-winning artist, will also be performing.
Additionally, clarinettist Peter Long and his orchestra will play every night with a different group of singers.

Previous Jazz Festival in Riyadh
In 2018 in February, a sizable audience attended the Jazz Festival in Riyadh.
Abada Awad, the CEO of the organizing firm announced that 6,000 tickets were sold out.
The International Golf Club hosted the event, which was supported by the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom.
Notable American trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis and British jazz band, Incognito were among the performers.
The event featured a Saudi band who played several jazz covers and the famous Lebanese singer and musician, Chady Nashef.
Salem al-Ahmed, one of the attendees, said that the festival reflects the leadership’s mindset to allow people to interact with several cultures.

The event is significant for encouraging the growth of the rapidly expanding local music industry.
Additionally, it strives to make Riyadh a developing hub for international music excellence.
