In collaboration with the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with leading international shipping lines—MSC, Maersk, and CMA CGM—on the sidelines of the Made in Saudi Expo 2025.
The agreements aim to support national exports and empower Saudi exporters by strengthening access to global markets through an integrated logistics ecosystem.
Additionally, this ecosystem links the Kingdom’s ports with international destinations via major global shipping lines, offering exporters greater opportunities for growth and expansion. The initiative also enhances international confidence in Saudi products by ensuring fast, efficient, and reliable delivery.
The MoUs establish a strategic framework for cooperation to deliver innovative, integrated logistics solutions, facilitate the export of Saudi goods, and improve the availability of empty containers at Saudi ports to meet exporters’ requirements.
They further seek to expand joint initiatives that contribute to increasing Saudi exports in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Moreover, these initiatives include organizing workshops, conferences, and exhibitions to raise awareness, build exporters’ capabilities, assess satisfaction with logistics services, and promote Saudi products globally.
Additionally, the agreements aim to enhance Saudi exporters’ access to new markets by providing advanced logistics solutions through Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and Jubail Commercial Port, while continuing efforts to further automate port operations.
