Mawani Introduces Milaha’s New ‘MIX 2’ Shipping Service at King Abdulaziz Port
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the launch of Milaha’s new “MIX 2” shipping service at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. It aimed at improving the flow of exports and imports and enhancing the port’s operational efficiency.
This move is part of Mawani’s broader strategy to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position on the maritime connectivity index, boost operational efficiency across its ports, and enhance the country’s integration with global markets. It aligns with the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub and a key crossroads between three continents.
Moreover, the new service links King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam to the ports of Umm Qasr in Iraq, as well as Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India, with a capacity of 1,700 standard containers.
Finally, Mawani’s collaboration with leading international shipping lines plays a crucial role in the development of Saudi ports, strengthening their competitiveness, expanding maritime routes, upgrading infrastructure, and streamlining operational and logistical procedures.
