Makkah governor patronizes F1 STC Saudi Arabian GP

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense – May God Protect Him – His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, witnessed, Sunday, the conclusion of the STC Saudi Grand Prix competitions Formula 1 for the year 2022.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, crowned the Dutch Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen the first place winner in the STC Formula 1 Saudi Grand Prix 2022, which is held at the Jeddah Corniche circuit, where the race witnessed fierce competition during its last laps, with the driver of The Ferrari team from Monaco Charles Leclerc, who led most of the race until Verstappen managed to overtake Leclerc with 3 laps on the start line, to finish the race on the lead by 0.549 seconds.

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and the Saudi Motorsports Company, was crowned Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who finished second, and His Excellency the Governor of the Public Investment Fund, Mr. Yasser bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, was crowned a Ferrari driver, Spaniard Carlos Sainz, third place.

After this great event, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal said in a press statement on this occasion:- “I congratulate all the runners and the first-place winners in this race, and I wish them more success during the next stages of this global race.

Saudis succeeded in preparing the reception and the organization of the event that witnessed the attendance of more than 200 media professionals, representing 151 media outlets from 70 countries.
