King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 1220 personal care kits in Al Manaqil city in Sudan, reported Saudi Press Agency
Besides personal care kits, Saudi Arabia has been providing food packages to different areas in Sudan. Yesterday, KSrelief distributed 560 food baskets to the most needy and displaced families in Wad Nubawi in Khartoum State, Sudan, benefiting 4,121 individuals.
Two weeks ago, the center distributed 1,075 food baskets to the most needy and displaced families in the River Nile State in Sudan, benefiting 6,682 individuals. This is part of the second phase of the project to support food security in Sudan.
Last month, it distributed 529 food baskets to the neediest and displaced families in Northern State, in the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 3,041 individuals.
Moreover, the center signed two joint cooperation agreements with the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) to provide food aid and prevent malnutrition in Sudan and South Sudan.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the first agreement aims to prevent severe malnutrition among children under the age of 5 and pregnant or nursing mothers in Sudan by purchasing and distributing 132.40 tons of nutritional supplements that will benefit 29.423 individuals.
The second agreement aims to prevent malnutrition among children under the age of 2 and pregnant or nursing mothers and to provide urgent food and medical aid to the people facing food insecurity in South Sudan, benefiting 6.265 individuals.
