KSA, Finland Discuss Economic Coperation
The Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim met with the Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs, Wille Rydman, during his official visit to Finland to enahnce economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and issues of common interest.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Finland, Nisreen Al-Shibel attended the meeting.
The tech industries in Saudi Arabia and Finland are poised to unlock new possibilities and spur creative advancements as both countries aim to advance technologies with internet connectivity.
As per reports by the Saudi Press Agency, a consensus was reached by the two nations in October 2023 to broaden their scope in sectors such as the Internet of cloud services, and wireless networking.
This cooperative effort was cemented by a signing ceremony involving Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Sawah, and his Finnish counterpart, Ville Tavio, in Riyadh.
“The signed memorandum is set to leverage the potential needed to aid both governments in their digital evolution,” the Saudi Press Agency has announced.
Moreover, the memorandum anticipates initiating collaborative initiatives focused on skill enhancement and investigative endeavors.
These initiatives will incorporate collective research in technological prognosis and bolster involvement from the private sectors within Saudi Arabia and Finland.
A collaborative entity named Business Finland was formed in August by the Federation of Saudi Chambers alongside the Finnish Chamber of Commerce.
