Al-Takhassusi Uses Technology for Early Detection of 50 Cancer-Related Genes
Al-Takhassusi has successfully implemented a technology that can early detect about 50 genes linked to cancer. This marks a significant advancement in cancer care.
This center is the first in the Middle East to apply liquid biopsy. It’s safer than traditional tissue biopsies and suitable for all ages. It detects over 3000 genetic mutations. This technology improves patient care
Advantages of Liquid Biopsy
Liquid biopsy is less invasive, requiring only about 10 ml of blood. It’s highly accurate, allowing for repeated use during treatment. It’s a medical revolution in cancer science.
This technique is safer for patients where tissue access is difficult, like lung cancer, and for elderly patients whose condition cannot take a tissue biopsy without severe complications.
At the Global Health Forum in Riyadh, “Al-Takhassusi” showcased liquid biopsy among other healthcare solutions.
Routine use of this test could build a database of tumor-causing mutations in the local society. It aids in early cancer diagnosis before the tumor is formed and monitor changes in the patient’s condition which allows for timely treatment adjustments and prevents the patient’s condition from getting worse
Al-Takhassusi continues to harness advanced technologies for operational excellence and patient care. This test enables quick clinical decisions and reduces testing time.
