KSA enforces Saudization of remote customer service professions

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia announced the end of the grace period to Saudize all jobs in the remote customer service professions starting 1 August 2021.

The ministry said in a statement that this decision is applied to all facilities operating in the labour market, whether by direct or indirect contract.

It said that the Saudization decision contributed to providing many career opportunities for customer care, where it comes within a group of resettlement decisions of the ministry.

The resolution had targeted all professions and functions provided in communication centres for customer service “remote” either by telephone, email, conversation means, social media and direct interaction

 Saudization decision also applies to labour contracts or services that are committed to doing business ownership.

The Ministry will be presented in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology as possible support for the resolution through the Future Skills Initiative, which provides programs to support employment, training, guidance and professional guidance.

 The Ministry will also cooperate with the Human Resources Development Fund to provide training and support programs for customer service professions through training and support channels.
