Kingdom’s Exports of Dates Rise by 9.9% during 1st Half of 2024

The National Center for Palms and Dates reported a rise in Saudi Arabia’s date exports during the first half of 2024, reaching over 751 million riyals. This is a 9.9% increase from the same period in 2023, when exports were over 683 million riyals.

In this context, Saudi Arabia’s date exports have included a number of countries that witnessed a significant increase and growth in export value during the first half of 2024. In some countries, the increase exceeded 100%. These countries include: Brazil, Norway, Italy, and Canada.

The Federal Republic of Germany recorded a 91.5% increase in the value of date exports, followed by the Republic of South Korea with a 72% increase, and the Republic of Indonesia with a 50.1% increase. Additionally, the Kingdom of Sweden experienced a 43.7% rise, while the value of date exports to the Kingdom of Malaysia increased by 32.6%, the United Kingdom by 29.7%, and the Kingdom of Morocco by 25.3%. The United States of America saw a 21.1% increase in date export values.

The increase in Saudi Arabia’s date exports is due to the unlimited support from the wise leadership for the palm and date sector, in addition to the effective role of the National Center for Palms and Dates and its efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi dates on the global stage.

This achievement reflects the commitment of date exporters to providing high-quality products, which enhances the global presence of Saudi dates and positions the Kingdom among the leading countries in date exports.
