The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire signed a general cooperation agreement, which includes encouraging cooperation between the two countries in the economic, commercial, investment, educational, artistic, cultural, media, tourism, youth and sports fields, as well as opening horizons for concluding specialized bilateral agreements in areas of interest to the two countries.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of State for African State Affairs, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire Ali Coulibaly, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the economic capital of Abidjan.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen to develop foreign relations with the governments of countries and peoples of the world. He desires to strengthen the existing bonds of friendship with those countries and to support the historical ties and common interests.
The signing of the agreement was preceded by a meeting between the Minister of State for African State Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of strengthening and developing them in all fields.
