
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued on Monday a royal order to host 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims to perform Hajj 2025, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The King has ordered the “hosting of 1,000 male and female pilgrims from the families of killed or wounded Palestinians” at his own expense, according to the statement.
As part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah, the initiative seeks to support the Palestinian people amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh expressed his gratitude to King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for this generous gesture.
Moreover, Al Alsheikh also said that it depicted Saudi leadership’s commitment to supporting Palestinians and boosting the bonds of Islamic brotherhood.
The ministry has immediately began developing a comprehensive plan to facilitate the performance of Hajj for the Palestinian pilgrims and provide them with seamless services.
Supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, the program has hosted more than 64,000 pilgrims from various countries.
In the light of this, the program stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts and initiatives to serve Islam and Muslims and strengthen its position as the heart of the Islamic world and the Qibla of Muslims.
