King Salman invites the Emir of Qatar to visit Saudi Arabia
An invitation to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to visit Saudi Arabia was extended by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah handed the invitation to the Emir of the State of Qatar when he received him at the Sea Palace in Doha, who conveyed his greetings and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, wishing them good health and happiness, and continued progress and prosperity to the Saudi people.
The bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed during the meeting, where they discussed the developments in regional and international events and issues of common concern.
A bilateral meeting between Saudi Foreign Minister and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thaniwas also took place, during which they discussed the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council’s mechanisms, how to improve bilateral relations, and the establishment of joint work in various areas.
During the meeting, the Qatari Foreign Minister expressed his country’s full support in all steps taken by Saudi Arabia to combat drug smuggling and in everything that would enhance the security and stability of the region.
