The tournament will be held in two stages: The first is the qualifying stage for the period from 1 to 3 next May, in which 64 players will compete, “including players representing the Kingdom in this forum,” with 8 of them advancing to the second stage, “the final rounds.”

The second final stage will begin on the 4th of the same month, and includes the eight players who qualified from the qualifying stage, along with 56 players in advanced levels of the global player classification table. Thus the total number of players in the final stage will reach 64 players competing in the knockout rounds. All the participant will exert efforts to win titles in five tournaments for men (singles and doubles), women’s (singles and doubles), and a mixed doubles tournament.

All “Grand Smash” tournaments showcase a unique identity and culture representing the host country. The Saudi Smash Championship logo, for instance, features green inspired by the Kingdom’s flag. It also mirrors the shared goals of the Saudi and International Table Tennis Federations to host a world-class tournament worthy of the Kingdom’s name.

These events embody the sports sector’s development journey in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals. The sector aims to directly contribute to the Kingdom’s development and prosperity across various fields.
