Alalshikh: “Riyadh Season” to Host New Tennis Tournament
Tennis Tournament in “Riyadh Season” 2024
Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced that “Riyadh Season” will host the new tennis tournament in October.
It is worth noting that the “6 Kings Slam” tennis tournament will be part of the Riyadh Season 2024. The participating players hold a combined total of about 50 Grand Slam titles.
Participating Players in Tennis Competition
The tennis tournament will feature six elite male players, including Novak Djokovic. Notably, he is the current world No. 1 and the best men’s tennis player of all time.
Djokovic is the Current French and US Open champion with 24 Grand Slam victories. Djokovic expressed his excitement about returning to Riyadh and playing in front of his Saudi fans.
Rafael Nadal, with 22 Grand Slam titles, is also set to participate. Nadal conveyed his excitement about playing in Riyadh for the first time, following in the footsteps of other tennis players who have participated in similar events.
Moreover, Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, winner of the Riyadh Season Tennis 2023, will participate in the tennis tournament. It is worth mentioning that he is the current world No. 2 in tennis. He also expressed his happiness in showcasing his skills in Riyadh.
Daniil Medvedev, the former US Open champion, and current world No. 3, expressed his excitement about returning to KSA. Additionally, he stated that he is thrilled to be part of an event with the world’s best tennis players.
In addition, World No. 4, Jannik Sinner, who recently won the Australian Open, will also be present. He also expressed his joy in playing in Riyadh for the first time and competing with a group of outstanding players.
Furthermore, Danish rising star Holger Rune, ranked seventh by the Association of Tennis Professionals will attend the tennis tournament. He declared his excitement at being able to take on such strong formidable opponents.
It is worth mentioning that the announcement of the new tennis tournament follows the tremendous success of the Riyadh Season in hosting global sports and entertainment events. These events included major tournaments with the participation of top international players. The season achieved impressive attendance numbers from visitors and fans of these sports.
