Jazan Municipality launched a number of investment opportunities in the city of Jazan, through the municipal investment portal “Furas”.
The municipality explained that it launched these opportunities to enhance investment opportunities in accordance with its future plans. Its plans include increasing its revenues, encouraging investors, entrepreneurs, and stimulating economic activity in Jazan. The city is one of the most prominent tourist destinations as it receives large numbers of tourists annually.
The municipality indicated that the proposed investment opportunities include establishing a multi-activity project opposite to the central waterfront, the former municipality’s headquarters, covering an area of 38,387.97 square metres.
It also includes the establishment of a tourist and entertainment resort in Al-Marjan with an area of 31,702.96 square metres, billboards on white lands and buildings under construction and restoration with an area of 6,000 square metres as well as a luxurious restaurant on the northern waterfront.
Regarding sports and entertainment, it plans to build a sports court next to the sports stadium with an area of 8,047.56 square meters.
The municipality said that it will continue to offer its investment opportunities in Jazan and all governorates and centers of the province to contribute to the sustainable development in the region.
It will offer the opportunity for the largest number of entrepreneurs to learn about and participate in investment projects in the region. It will also enable them to launch their emerging projects by creating investment opportunities in distinctive locations.
Furthermore, it called on those wishing to invest to view and apply through the municipal investment portal “Furas”.

Jazan used to be a hub for pearl fishing during the early 20th century. However, this industry came to a halt when the World War I started.
