
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) took part virtually in the 95th periodic technical meeting of Heads of Operations of the Arab Coordination Group on May 11–12, 2026. The meeting brought together member institutions to review development projects and explore opportunities for joint initiatives.
Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation, assessing ongoing programs, and setting priorities for future development financing. Participants also emphasized improving coordination mechanisms and strengthening partnerships with regional and international stakeholders.

During the opening session on May 11, several institutions delivered presentations covering topics such as contract management, institutional performance, and forward planning within the ACG framework.
Over the two days, attendees reviewed initiatives aimed at boosting coordination and increasing the visibility of ACG institutions. This included a media plan presented by the Islamic Development Bank Group Business Forum (THIQAH), outlining proposed activities to enhance communication and outreach in the coming period.
The agenda also featured an advisory report highlighting achievements and future coordination efforts among member institutions, alongside discussions on developing a rapid response mechanism for the ACG, an initiative led by the Arab Fund.
Preparations were reviewed for an upcoming high-level meeting between the ACG and the OECD Development Assistance Committee, as well as for the 21st Meeting of Heads of Institutions scheduled in Vienna on June 22, 2026. The ACG also invited the Global Center on Adaptation to present potential areas for collaboration across various sectors and countries.
Additional discussions covered proposals for joint initiatives in digital technology and artificial intelligence, as well as updates on new projects across Arab, African, Asian, and Latin American and Caribbean regions, along with other strategic and operational matters.
