“Health” in Saudi Arabia: “Delta” is present

According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, the “delta” mutant has been discovered in the Kingdom, and around 60% of the patients infected with the Corona virus “Covid-19” recently are female.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Abd Al-Aali, a spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Health, said during a press conference that the Kingdom has passed critical stages in the Corona pandemic and has avoided the recurrence of waves of the previous virus mutant. He also confirmed the monitoring of the delta mutant in the Kingdom.

Dr. Al-Abd Al-Aali emphasized that one dosage of the vaccine is insufficient to combat the delta mutator, and that two doses are required. According to him, the delta mutate is the most common worldwide and poses the greatest threat owing to its fast proliferation.

The Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of getting health information from official, scientific sources, and cautioned against falling for rumours, misleading advertisements, and misinformation about Corona vaccines that are not based on any scientific or medical evidence, citing the safety and effectiveness of vaccines approved in the Kingdom.

The Saudi Ministry of Health suggested communicating with the “937” centre for round-the-clock consultations and queries, health information and services, and updates on the Corona virus.

In addition, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance reopened two mosques in the eastern area that had been temporarily evacuated and cleaned following verified cases of Corona virus infection among worshipers.
