Governor of Riyadh Attends Race of Crown Prince’s Cups
Under the esteemed patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of the Riyadh region, attended today the first major race of the first category for the Crown Prince’s Cups. These Crown Prince’s Cups were for locally bred and open grade horses, both internationally classified, at the King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Janadriyah, reported Saudi Press Agency(SPA).
The Eleventh Race
Following the national anthem, the eleventh race for the Crown Prince’s Cup for local production, Category One, commenced. The race covered a distance of 2400m, with a prize of one million Riyals. The horse “Al Mubeer” achieved first place. The trophy was presented by HRH the Governor of Riyadh to the horse’s owner.
The Twelfth Race
“My Frankel” won the twelfth race for the internationally classified Crown Prince’s Cup, spanning 2400m. HRH Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz own “My Frankel”. Likewise, HRH the Governor of Riyadh presented the cup.
Significance of the Cup
The Crown Prince’s Cup holds significant importance in the Saudi racing landscape due to its prestige. Moreover, it serves as a key indicator for assessing technical levels for future competitions. The final program showcased some of the strongest horses in the Saudi field, competing over a distance of 2400m.
