Global chart: Saudi Arabia ahead in providing vaccines
The Minister of Commerce and Minister of Information in charge, Dr Majid Al-Qasabi, explained that the world is still facing significant challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic, the limited production of the vaccine, and the reluctance of some to take it.
He appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom’s government in taking all precautions and health measures in this situation.
He noted that the Kingdom is at the forefront of the world in terms of providing vaccines. The country has bought more than twice the number of its population of vaccine doses; the proportion of those who have received the vaccine reached 40% of the population, equating to 15 million doses so far.
“We are proud to reap the harvest of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which we celebrated, the fifth anniversary of its launch, during which we have achieved so much,” finalized Al-Qasabi said in the 4th periodic press conference for government communication held in Riyadh.
