The Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Chambers will organize the second edition of the Gulf-Azerbaijan Economic Forum on September 25, in Baku, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Themed “Sustainability, Investments, Partnerships,” the two-day forum aims at strengthening the economic ties between GCC and Azerbaijan in all economic sectors.
President of the Federation of GCC Chambers Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawwas stated that the forum stands as a testament to the GCC’s commitment to boosting economic relations with Azerbaijan and increasing the trade exchange between both of them.
Organized in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), the event will offer potential investment opportunities and joint projects in several sectors including food security and agriculture, renewable energy, logistics, and transportation.
Al-Rawwas noted that the trade exchange between GCC and Azerbaijan reached $1.8 billion in 2023, while Gulf investments in Azerbaijan increased to nearly $7 billion. Furthermore, Azerbaijan’s economic capabilities have led the federation to focus on holding such joint events.
