flynas has held a special ceremony to celebrate its inaugural direct flight between Riyadh and Entebbe, Uganda, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
This launch represents a significant milestone aligning with flynas’s growth plan to boost and expand its presence in the African market.
Held at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh, the inauguration ceremony highlighted the presence of several representatives from both flynas and Riyadh Airports Company.
Therefore, flynas started to operate three weekly flights on the Riyadh-Entebbe route on January 15.
Launched under the theme of “We Connect the World to the Kingdom,” flynas’s plan significantly aligns with the ambitious objectives of the National Civil Aviation Strategy. Such a strategy aims primarily to enable national air carriers to connect Saudi Arabia to 250 international destinations. Therefore, they will accommodate 330 million passengers annually as well as host 150 million tourists each year by 2030.
Furthermore, it basically supports the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) through facilitating access to the Two Holy Mosques.
Currently, the Saudi national carrier operates 139 routes to more than 70 domestic and international destinations across 30 countries, with more than 1,500 weekly flights.
Launched in in 2007, flynas has served over 80 million passengers with a bold goal to reach 165 domestic and international destinations by 2030.
