Fam Foods, Kobe Beef Association Partner to Bring Halal-Certified Beef to Saudi Arabia
The Saudi market welcomed halal-certified Kobe beef during a prestigious event held at the residence of Morino Yasunari, the Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
Organized by Fam Foods, the Kingdom’s sole authorized reseller of Kobe beef, in collaboration with the Kobe Beef Association, the evening celebrated the growing cultural and culinary ties between Japan and Saudi Arabia.

Guests were immersed in a distinctive ambiance that seamlessly wove together heritage and modern festivity. Upon arrival, they were greeted with traditional Saudi coffee, a warm gesture that highlighted the nations’ mutual emphasis on hospitality, complemented by decor that beautifully merged their cultural traditions.
The experience continued with a culinary journey celebrating authentic Japanese techniques. It also included captivating teppanyaki demonstrations that showcased the artistry and precision behind Kobe beef preparation. Adding to the spectacle, the renowned Kimono Butcher mesmerized the audience with a masterful beef-cutting demonstration. Moreover, this embodied the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication central to Japan’s culinary heritage.

As part of the event, Fam Foods revealed the upcoming launch of Hocho, a high-end restaurant specializing in Kobe and Wagyu cuisine, set to open in Via Riyadh. Finally, this new venture aims to revolutionize Japanese dining in Saudi Arabia, delivering a sophisticated culinary experience that highlights the artistry and excellence of Japanese beef.
