Fahd Al-Otaishan, a senior specialist at the Saudi Export Development Authority, highlights the service sector’s role. It boosts the Kingdom’s non-oil exports, covering 12 diverse fields like tech, transport, and tourism.

Pillars of the Strategy

In a video on LinkedIn by the Authority, Al-Otaishan shares three pillars supporting Vision 2030: awareness, activation, and empowerment. These aim to diversify the economy and increase non-oil export shares in the GDP.

Activation involves easing market access, Al-Otaishan notes. The Authority offers various incentives to exporters. These include international fairs, trade shows, business missions, and field visits.

Empowerment is about enhancing exporters’ competitive abilities, adds Al-Otaishan. The Authority offers training programs, workshops, seminars, and digital platforms. They also work with relevant entities to improve the business environment and simplify procedures, standards, and regulations.
