As Eid Al-Fitr approaches, markets across Makkah are coming alive with shoppers preparing to celebrate the end of Ramadan. Residents, visitors, and Umrah performers are flocking to shopping districts, turning the city’s markets into vibrant hubs filled with festive activity.
Retailers are expanding their selections and offering special promotions and discounts to attract customers. Both traditional souks and modern shopping malls are showcasing a wide range of clothing, tailoring services, and accessories as families prepare their Eid outfits. At the same time, demand is rising for traditional sweets and hospitality items that are commonly served during the holiday celebrations.

To maintain a safe and organized shopping environment, the Holy Makkah Municipality has stepped up its monitoring efforts. Moreover, inspection teams are conducting daily field visits to ensure shops comply with health regulations and product safety standards, quickly addressing any violations.
The municipality’s seasonal preparations for Eid Al-Fitr also include increased supervision of food establishments, enhanced sanitation measures, and improved crowd management in busy commercial areas to handle the expected surge in shoppers.

Many visitors have welcomed the wide range of products available in the markets, saying the festive atmosphere of Ramadan adds to the experience—especially for travelers purchasing gifts and souvenirs before returning home.
