Eid Al-Fitr in Jeddah: King Abdulaziz Airport Welcomes Travelers with Ardah Dance

The King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah is celebrating Eid Al-Fitr 2025 in a unique way. In a festive atmosphere, the airport is receiving passengers with the famous Saudi Ardah dance, according to Al-Ekhbariya TV.

Ardah dance is a traditional performance featuring dance, drumming and chanting poetry. It is inscribed on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The performance features two opposite rows of men, each of them carrying a light sword, alongside drummers. Moreover, one performer in full costume carries a flag, while a poet chants verses related to the occasion.

Saudis perform the traditional Ardah dance during significant occasions, such as religious holidays, weddings, births, or events of national or local significance.

Saudi Arabia is celebrating Eid Al-Fitr 2025 on Sunday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal. On this occasion, the Kingdom has granted a 4-day holiday for the private and non-profit sectors.

Furthermore, the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has launched Eid Al-Fitr 2025 events, featuring a diverse range of music concerts, theatrical performances, fireworks shows, and various entertainment activities across the Kingdom’s regions.

Jeddah is hosting a diverse range of events and activities to mark Eid Al-Fitr 2025. At 9 pm, dazzling fireworks displays will light up the sky in Jeddah Art Promenade.

Furthermore, Jeddah Promenade will host daily activities and interactive experiences from 5 pm to 2 am, as part of the “Eid Destination: The Best Eid in Jeddah” experience, running from March 30 to April 20, 2025.

The celebrations also include an extraordinary beach concert on April 2, 2025, for the Egyptian singer, Tamer Ashour, as well as a theatrical performance at the Arabic Theater, which will play “Shams and Qamar” starting on the third day of Eid.
