Dr. Khalifa: Caution Needed Amid Western, Regional Geopolitical Strategies
Dr. Nabil Khalifa, the Christian thinker, emphasized in his analyses that minorities in Syria should have exercised caution for a long time, pointing out that they should not engage in a conflict against the Sunni majority or be swayed by Western currents that would ultimately not serve their interests.
Additionally, he explained that the minorities in Syria are literally implementing everything mentioned in his book Targeting the Sunni People, which is considered a rare book in America and has been translated into English.
Dr. Khalifa noted that the West’s strategic plan is evident in this complex political game, where forces such as the West, Israel, and Iran are working to control the Middle East and weaken Arab influence within it. He highlighted that this trend includes Orthodox Russia, Catholic Europe, and Protestant America, indicating that the entire Western civilization is moving in this direction.
Moreover,he affirmed that the primary goal of this strategy is to halt the expansion of Islam in the world, especially after the West recognized the impending danger following the events of September 11. He cited a statement by former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who, when asked why the West still clings to NATO, responded, “Because there is Islam,” suggesting that new threats require a reevaluation of alliances and strategies.
It is expected that Islam will become the most widespread religion by the year 2050. This growth is attributed to several factors, including higher birth rates in Muslim-majority countries compared to other nations, as well as the increasing number of young people in Islamic societies.
