The Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Khalil bin Salama has visited Al-Qassim’s industrial cities.
Accompanying him was Engineer Majed bin Rafeed Al-Arkoobi, CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technological Zones “MODON”. This visit symbolizes a strong commitment to industrial development.
Inspection of Industrial Sites
Their itinerary included the First Industrial City and MODON’s Oasis in Al-Qassim. Key highlights were inspections of new ready-made factories and visits to notable industrial landmarks such as the Sahara Al-Qassim Factory, Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries – SPIMACO, and Binti’s Industrial Factory. These visits showcase the region’s industrial progress and potential.
Further Visits and Observations
Furthering his exploration, the Deputy Minister also visited the Second Industrial City in Al-Qassim. There, he reviewed the operations of Abdullah Suleiman Al-Jasser and Partner Company.
These visits provided valuable insights into the diverse industrial landscape of Al-Qassim and its significant growth potential.
Details about Industrial Cities
The First Industrial City in Al-Qassim, located strategically south of Buraidah, encompasses 1.5 million square meters. It boasts 159 industrial and service contracts, encompassing a range of stages from operational to under construction. The Second Industrial City, positioned southeast of Buraidah, extends over 11.8 million square meters and includes 80 contracts.
Additionally, MODON’s Oasis in Al-Qassim, spreading over 740,000 square meters, comprises 21 contracts, further highlighting the region’s industrial robustness.
